Why you need a Will

Without a Will, the law decides who gets what. That is rarely what you would have chosen.

The law decides, not you

Die without a Will and strict rules take over. Your husband or wife might not get everything, and an unmarried partner gets nothing at all.

Protect your family

A Will makes sure the people you love are looked after the way you want. You can also name guardians for your children, just in case.

Peace of mind

Knowing it is sorted is a real weight off your mind. And your family is spared hard decisions at the worst possible time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is an online Will actually legal?

Yes. A Will is legally valid in England and Wales as long as you sign it and two adult witnesses sign too. The Wills Act 1837 sets the rules, and where the document came from makes no difference. Ours meets the bar, and we give you clear instructions so the signing is done right.

Can my partner and I do this together?

Yes. Most couples make mirror Wills, two near-identical Wills that leave everything to one another and then on to the same people. A pair is £99, which works out at £49.50 each.

What if I make a mistake?

You can change anything you like before you pay and print. Read it over at the review stage and fix whatever you need. There is no rush, and your progress is saved if you want to come back to it.

Do I need a solicitor?

For most people, no. The Will you create online is the same legally valid document a solicitor would prepare, for a fraction of the price. A solicitor is worth the fee if your situation is genuinely complex, such as a business, overseas property or a likely family dispute.
