Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to use our services. This is both a contractual requirement and a legal necessity, as:
- The minimum age to make a valid Will in England and Wales is 18 (except for members of the armed forces on active service)
- The minimum age to create a Lasting Power of Attorney is 18
- You must have legal capacity to enter into a binding contract
Acceptance by Use
By accessing or using our website, creating an account, or purchasing our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our services.

- Property & Financial Affairs LPA

- Pre-filled OPG registration forms
- Guidance on registration process
How Our Service Works
- Guided Questionnaire: You answer a series of questions about your circumstances and wishes
- Document Assembly: Our software automatically generates your legal document based on your answers
- Review & Download: You review the generated document and can make amendments as needed
- Execution Guidance: We provide clear instructions on how to properly sign and witness your documents to make them legally valid
- Secure Storage: Your documents are stored securely in your account for future access
- OPG Registration (LPAs only): We provide pre-filled OPG forms and guidance for registration

We Do NOT Provide Legal Advice
We do not provide legal advice, recommendations, or opinions on your specific circumstances. Our service is limited to document assembly based on the information you provide.
We Are NOT Solicitors
None of our staff are acting as your solicitor or legal representative. There is no solicitor-client relationship created by using our services.
We Do NOT Review Your Personal Circumstances
We do not analyze your individual situation, tax implications, or provide personalized recommendations. The documents are generated based solely on your questionnaire responses.
When You Should Seek Legal Advice
We strongly recommend seeking independent legal advice from a qualified solicitor if:
- Your estate is complex or substantial (generally over £325,000)
- You have business interests, overseas property, or complex assets
- You wish to create trusts or make tax-efficient arrangements
- You have dependents with special needs or disabilities
- You wish to disinherit someone or make unequal distributions that might be contested
- You have concerns about mental capacity or undue influence
- You have been divorced or are in a complex family situation
- You are unsure about any aspect of estate planning
Our Role
Our role is limited to:
- Providing a software platform for document assembly
- Asking questions to gather the information needed to create documents
- Generating documents based on your responses
- Providing general guidance on document execution and registration
- Storing your documents securely
We do not make decisions for you, and we do not assess whether our services are suitable for your circumstances.
4. User Responsibilities
By using our services, you agree to the following responsibilities:
Accurate Information
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate, complete, and truthful information in all questionnaires
- Ensuring all names, addresses, and personal details are correct
- Updating information if your circumstances change
- Understanding that errors in your input will result in errors in your documents
Document Review
- Carefully review all generated documents before downloading or printing
- Check for errors or omissions that may have resulted from incorrect questionnaire responses
- Request amendments if needed before finalizing the document
- Understand that once you download a document, you accept it as correct
Proper Execution
Your documents are not legally valid until properly executed. You must:
- Wills: Sign in the presence of two independent witnesses who must also sign (Wills Act 1837)
- LPAs: Follow the specific signing and witnessing requirements set out in the Mental Capacity Act 2005
- Registration (LPAs only): Submit completed forms to the Office of the Public Guardian for registration
- Carefully follow the execution instructions we provide with your documents
Account Security
- Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
- Use a strong, unique password
- Do not share your account access with others
- Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access
- Log out after using shared or public computers
Prohibited Uses
You must NOT:
- Use our services for any unlawful purpose
- Provide false or misleading information
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble our software
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access our services
- Resell or redistribute our documents or services
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
5. Intellectual Property

The following are owned by Keystone Estate Planning and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws:
- Website design, layout, and graphics
- Software code and algorithms
- Questionnaire content and logic
- Document templates and formatting
- Educational content, guides, and FAQs
- Keystone Estate Planning name, logo, and branding
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any of our intellectual property without our express written permission.
Your Content
You retain ownership of all information and content you provide to us, including:
- Personal information entered in questionnaires
- Specific provisions and wishes in your documents
- Communications with our support team
License to Use Your Content
By using our services, you grant us a limited license to use your content solely for the purposes of:
- Providing our document assembly services
- Generating and storing your documents
- Providing customer support
- Complying with legal obligations
This license terminates when you delete your account, subject to our legal retention obligations.
Your Generated Documents
The documents we generate for you are yours to use.
You may:
- Download, print, and use your documents
- Execute them to make them legally valid
- Store copies as needed
- Share them with your executors, attorneys, or legal advisors
6. Pricing and Payment
Pricing
- All prices are displayed in British Pounds (GBP)
- Prices are fixed at the time of purchase
- We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders already placed
- Current prices are always available on our website
VAT Exemption
Legal Services VAT Exemption
Our services are exempt from VAT under UK tax law as they constitute the provision of legal document services. Prices shown are final prices with no VAT added.
Payment Processing
- All payments are processed securely by Stripe
- We accept major credit and debit cards
- Payment is required before document generation
- We do not store your full payment card details
- Transaction receipts are sent via email
Payment Authorization
By providing payment information, you represent and warrant that:
- You are authorized to use the payment method
- The information you provide is accurate
- You will pay all charges incurred
- You will notify us immediately of any unauthorized charges
Failed Payments
If payment fails or is declined:
- We will notify you immediately
- You will have the opportunity to provide alternative payment
- Services will not be provided until payment is successful
- We may suspend or terminate your account for repeated payment failures
7. Cooling-Off Period (Consumer Contracts Regulations)
Under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day cooling-off period to cancel your purchase and receive a full refund.
How the Cooling-Off Period Works
- Period Starts: From the date of purchase
- Duration: 14 calendar days
- Full Refund: If you cancel within this period before service begins
- No Reason Required: You do not need to provide a reason for cancellation
Express Consent and Waiver

Our service is designed for immediate use. When you complete your purchase and begin creating your document, you are requesting that we provide the service immediately.
By proceeding, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You expressly request immediate service provision
- This waives your cooling-off period right
- Once you download your completed document, you lose the right to a full refund
8. Refund Policy
Full Refund - Before Document Generation
100% Refund Available
You are entitled to a full refund if you cancel before:
- Starting the document questionnaire
- Generating a document
- Downloading a completed document
No Refund - After Document Download
No Refund Available
Once you download your completed document, the service has been fully provided and no refund is available, except:
- Proven defect in our service (not user error)
- Technical issue that prevented proper download
- At our sole discretion in exceptional circumstances
9. Document Validity and Legal Standing
Wills
Your Will is legally binding if:
- You are at least 18 years old (or in the armed forces on active service)
- You have mental capacity at the time of signing
- The Will is in writing
- You sign the Will in the presence of two independent witnesses
- Both witnesses sign in your presence and in the presence of each other
- Witnesses are not beneficiaries (or spouses of beneficiaries)
Legal Basis: Wills Act 1837 (as amended)
Lasting Powers of Attorney
Your LPA is legally valid once:
- All parties (donor, attorneys, certificate provider) sign correctly
- The signing order and witnessing requirements are followed precisely
- The LPA is registered with the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG)
- The OPG issues a registration stamp

10. Limitation of Liability

Maximum Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any and all claims arising out of or related to these Terms or our services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
Exceptions
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law
11. Data Protection and Privacy
We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

12. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Downloaded documents remain your property.
Data Export Before Deletion
Download Your Documents First
Before deleting your account, make sure to download all documents you wish to keep. Once your account is deleted, you will no longer be able to access or retrieve your documents from our system.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Jurisdiction
The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising from these Terms.
